A tour made, by way of Paris and Dijon, Lake Lucerne, the Rhone Glacier, Lake Como, Milan, Venice, Florence, Rome, Herculaneum, Naples, Modena, Genoa and Versailles.

24 original water colour illustrations by Joseph Axe Sleap, British artist (1808-1859), some interfoliated. One signed on reverse "J Sleap begs to say that this is the best drawing he will make at so very low a price" (p.105).

Physical Description 1 volume. Binding: decorated red morocco with title in gold on front cover. Brass clasp. Paper with gold trim: 16.5x19.8cm. 14 large, 1 medium and 9 small water colours.
